Do you know someone who is an undiscovered improv star?  Or are you looking to become more confident in social situations?  Do you want to become your company’s best presenter?  No matter what your reason, Whole World’s got you covered.  Every quarter we hold a two-hour workshop for folks to test the waters.  If you’re a total newb or an improv veteran, our workshop is designed to give each student the opportunity to meet other like-minded folks, have some serious fun, and get an idea of our teaching style and improv method.  Should you decide to enroll in one of our improv programs, the tuition for the workshop can be rolled over into the class program of your choice, BOOM!

Can’t make the date?  No problem.  Your ticket is good for up to one year from the date of purchase.  One Day Workshops are conducted once a quarter.  Keep checking back for the next available date.

Ever wonder if you could do what we do? Absolutely! Whether you dream of the spotlight, want to ace your next presentation, or simply connect more confidently with new people, our classes are your stage. Dive into our 10-week Beginner’s Improv program, where we’ll build your skills from the ground up – no experience needed – and guarantee a ton of laughs along the way. You’ll meet weekly for two hours, culminating in an exciting performance on our stage! Plus, as a student, you’ll enjoy free show tickets and invites to our student jams!

Class Description
In this high-energy masterclass, participants will unlock the secret to transforming fast-paced shortform improv games into rich, story-driven experiences. Perfect for improvisers looking to elevate their scenes beyond punchlines, this session dives deep into the art of spontaneous storytelling — even within the tight time limits of shortform formats.

Through targeted exercises, side coaching, and dynamic scene work, you’ll learn how to:

• Identify and build story arcs in under five minutes
• Create characters with depth on the fly
• Establish stakes and emotional grounding in fast-paced formats
• Use narrative tools like callbacks, patterns, and transformation to heighten comedic and dramatic beats
• Seamlessly blend structure and spontaneity to serve both game and story

Whether you’re a performer, coach, or director, this class will give you the tools to turn quick games into unforgettable moments with heart, clarity, and impact — all while keeping the audience laughing.

Meet you Instructor
Tanya Wagner has been performing, mc’ing and teaching improv at Whole World Theatre for over a decade.  Her favorite type of improv is what she terms “believable improv” where no matter what your suggestion may be you transport your audience there totally immersing them in your new “reality.”
